PSP의 숨겨진 기능.
It looks like vshmain checks for the following button combination at startup :
SQUARE + TRIANGLE + SELECT + START
When this combination is issued (you need to hold the buttons before the Sony Computer Entertainment screen shows up) it will restore all the settings to default (so you will need to select the language, timezone etc etc again)
This hidden feature works from 1.00 to 3.90 so far (and probably ongoing firmwares)
I believe this must be used in service centers to deal with psps that somehow have settings issues and cannot boot otherwise (without the need to reflash them)
It is really suprising that this trick wasn't found out that far, looks like no one really looked into vshmain before.

간단하게 설명하자면 네모버튼 + 세모버튼 +셀렉트버튼 + 스타트 버튼을 동시에 누르고 전원을 올리면 PSP의 모든 설정값이 초기화 된다는 소리입니다. (화면이 나올때까지 누르고 있어야 함) 게다가 PSP의 첫 펌웨어 버젼인 1.00 때부터 가능하고 소니측에서 수리를 할 것이라 글쓴이는 생각한답니다. 뭐, 그도 그럴것이 누가 저런게 있다는걸 생각하겠습니까? 당연히 개발자들만 알고 있을 것 같은 이런 사실들이 이렇게 밝혀진다는 것도 상당히 놀랍긴 놀랍습니다. 역시나 세상엔 뛰는 놈 위에 나는 놈들이 너무나 많은 것 같습니다.
특히 게임쪽 관련 크리에이터들이 자신들이 내놓는 물건안에 여러가지 의미심장한 말들이나 암호를 넣기도 한다는 건 오래전부터 알려진 사실입니다. 비디오 게임 CD를 컴퓨터에 넣으면 제작자의 사인이나 여러가지 사진들이 들어 있는 것부터 시작해서 10년도 더 된 옛날 게임팩의 ROM 데이터를 해석하면 제작자의 멘트가 담겨져 경우도 있으니까요. 도저히 의도했다곤 생각하기 힘든 수준의 것들이 많았습니다.
어쨌든 본론으로 돌아와서 저 위의 숨겨진 방법 말입니다. 딱히 쓸 일은 없겠지만 처음 PSP를 샀을 때의 추억도 되새겨 볼겸 PSP를 가지신 분들이라면 한번 쯤 시도 해봐도 괜찮을 듯 하네요. 물론 위험한게 아니라 단순하게 시간이나 닉네임등의 설정이 초기화 되는 것 뿐이니까 부담없이 해보시길 바랍니다.

저로선 의미가 없는 일이지만... 가지고있는 물건에 저런 것들이 포함되었다는게 신기하네요.
그보다 저는 퀵 리부팅을 원합니다만;;;
초기화 된다고 했으니까. 커펌도 풀리고 맨처음상태가 된다는 말인가여?
